W. Finucan Former Resident Mrs. Winifred W. Finucan, 65, former Charlevoix resident, died Wednesday, April 21, at Glendale, Calif., where she had resided with her sister, Mrs. Llewellyn See for the past ten months. Funeral services were conducted at the Pontius Chapel by the Rev. Harold E. Kohn Wednesday morning. Burial was in Brookside cemetery. The former Winifred Weaver was born in Charlevoix Oct. 17, 1888, daughter of the late Capt. and Mrs. George W. Weaver. She was married to George Finucan in October 1913 and in 1922 they went to Grand Rapids to make their home. In 1933 she left Grand Rapids and spent the next two years in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, returning to Charlevoix in 1935. She was bookkeeper at the Charlevoix Hospital for several years and left here in the late 1930's to reside in Saginaw. In 1944 she went to Glendale, Calif., where she managed the Glendale college book store. In 1948 she returned to Michigan to accept a similar position at Albion collcge. She retired in April 1953 because of failing health and in July returned to California. She was a member of the Congregational church. She is survived by a son, Thomas W. Finucan of Muskegon; two grandchildren. Pleasant Anna and Mary Susan of Muskegon; a brother, Dr. G. Franklin Weaver of Birmingham and her sister, Mrs. See.
