OBITUARY
FORNER RITES ARE FRIDAY

CHARLEVOIX —Funeral services for Mrs. Rose Wightman Forner, 72, Hayes 
township resident who died unexpectedly Friday in Chicago where she was spending
the winter, will be held at St. Mary’s church here at 9 a.m. Friday morning.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s cemetery. The body was returned to the See Funeral
Home here Monday.
Born in Poland August 19, 1877, Rose Domin came to Chicago as a child. In 1900
she was married to Brayton Wightman and a year later they came  to Hayes
township north of Charlevoix to make their home. Except for a few years spent in
Charlevoix and winters in Chicago, she had continued to live at the family home
in Hayes township.  

Mr. Wightman preceded her in death in 1938. In 1943 she married Edward Forner
who died in 1945.  She was a member of St Marys church and a charter member of
the Maple Grove Grange.

She is survived by a brother, Joseph Domin of Steeleville, 0., a niece, Mrs.
Otto Kane of this city and four nephews, Peter and Allen Winnick of Charlevoix
and Frank and Thomas Winnick of Flint.

NOTE: Rose is buried in Brookside Cemetery next to her husband, Braton Wightman
and not in St. Marys Cemetery as stated in her obituary.
