OBITUARY
Charlevoix Courier


Funeral for Mrs. Albert Stanley Houghton, 67, was held at the Winchester Funeral
Home Jan. 20, the Rev. Don Schorsch of the Assembly of God Church officiating.
Burial was in Brookside Cemetery.

Mrs. Houghton died Jan. 17 at Charlevoix Hospital where she had been a patient
two weeks.

The former Jennie J. Nowland was born in Charlevoix April 1, 1905, and was
married to Frank Habel in 1924. Following his death in March, 1933, she was
married to Mr. Houghton in November of 1933.

Mrs. Houghton was a lifelong resident of Charlevoix and member of the Assembly
of God Church.

In addition to her widower, she is survived by three sons, William Habel sr.,
Robert S. and Albert W. Houghton; and two daughters, Mrs. Garrett (Bertha)
Potter and Mrs. William (Bernice) Macy, all of Charlevoix.

Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, two greatgrandchildren and three sisters,
Mrs. Daniel McAllister and Mrs. Hazel Smith of Charlevoix and Mrs. James
Coblentz of Ironton.
