Wm. Hulme Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon from the home of Mrs. Archie Alcock for her brother-in-law, Capt. William Hulme Jr., former Charlevoix resident, who died Friday at Marine hospital in Detroit. Rev. W. H. Rauch, pastor of the Baptist church, conducted the services and interment was at Brookside cemetery. Deceased was born April 8, 1869, at Maple City, Mich. He came to Charlevoix in July, 1887, and on December 21st, 1899, was married to Miss Caroline Brown of this city. During many years residence in Charlevoix, Capt. Hulme sailed the lakes and will be remembered well by local mariners. Surviving are the widow and two sons, Glennwood B. and Kenneth S., both of Toledo, Ohio; also two sisters. Mrs. Elizabeth Beattie and Mrs. M. K. Chew of Charlevoix. ______________________________________________ 2nd OBITUARY FUNERAL SERVICE MONDAY AFTERNOON FOR CAPT HULME, JR. Funeral service was held Monday afternoon for Captain William Hulme, Jr., at the residence of Mrs. Art Alcock, on South State Street. Rev. W. H. Rauch, pastor of the local Baptist Church officiating. For more than twenty-five years he has lived in Toledo having located there in 1908 prior to this he resided in Charlevoix for twenty-one years during which time he was well and favorably known as a good citizen, lake captain and ship builder.He was a native of Michigan born at Maple City, April 8, 1869, and was united in marriage with Miss Caroline Brown of Charlevoix, December 21, 1899, by whom he is survived. Also by two sons, Glenwood B. and Kenneth S. of Toledo, O. Other survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Beattie and Mrs. M. K. Chew of Charlevoix. Mr. Hulme passed away Friday, October 5 at the Marine Hospital, Detroit, his death following a protracted illness.
