Jeffery 1904 - 1958 Floyd D. Jeffery, Former Resident, Dies in Mishap Funeral services for Floyd D. Jeffery, 54, a former resident who was killed Sunday in a motorboat mishap at Dickinson, Tex., will be held at the Winchester Funeral Home here at 3 p.m. today (Thursday). The Rev. O. B. Ansted will officiate. Burial will be in Brookside cemetery. Born at Gaylord Jan. 8, 1904, Mr. Jeffery lived in the upper peninsula for a short time before coming here with his parents at the age of four years. He was graduated from the Charlevoix high school and served four years with the U. S. Navy during the 1920s. He made his home in Ohio for 20 years before going to Texas 10 years ago with the Champion Paper and Fibre Co. He was chief inspector at the Houston branch of the company at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine; his mother, Mrs. Richard Lomas of this city; a sister, Mrs. Carrie Brandt of Marquette and a brother, Theo Jeffery of East Jordan.
