GUSTAVE  JERICHOW  DEAD	
Had Lived in Hayes township Sixteen Years

Gustave Jerichow, a well known and highly respected
citizen, died at his home, in Hayes Township, 
Friday, March 12, of cancer of the stomach.
Mr. Jerichow was born in Germany, coming to this 
country forty-three years ago and settling in
Calumet County, Wisconsin, removing from
there to Hayes Township sixteen years ago this
coming May.
He leaves beside his wife, six children, three sons,
Gustave, Herman and Charles of Hayes Township,
and three daughters, Mrs. Loren Hamlin of Hayes,
Mrs. Tom Petoskey of etoskey, and Mrs. Ed Mock of 
Flint.
The funeral was held from the house Monday
afternoon, Rev. Dr. Wright officiating.  Burial at
Brookside.

Mrs. G. J. Jerichow, Longtime County Resident Passes

Mrs. Marie H. Jerichow, 77, widow of Gustav J. Jerichow, died Tuesday afternoon
at Grandvue Hospital near East Jordan where she had been a patient since Dec. 2.

The body is at the Pontius Chapel awaiting arrangements.

Born in Germany March 12, 1876, the former Marie H. Goll came to this country at
the age of 17 years and lived at St. Louis, Mo., prior to her marriage to Mr.
Jerichow at Petoskey June 15, 1912. They resided on a farm in Hayes township
until 1945 when they moved to their present home at 111 East Upright Ave. Mr.
Jerichow died in July, 1950.

She is survived by a brother, Frank Goll of Fairview, N. J.; two foster sons,
Glenn HiIger of Ann Arbor and Gustav Hautile of Wakefield and several nieces and
nephews.
