Lewis E. 1912-1992 1904-1976 OBITUARIES Helen E. Juilleret Helen E. Juilleret, 79, of Cedarville and formerly of Charlevoix, died July 6, 1992, at Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey. Funeral will be 1 pm. Thursday, July 9, at Winchester Funeral Home in Charlevoix with the Rev. Raymond Giffin, retired, First Congregational Church of Charlevoix, officiating. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Charlevoix. Mrs. Juilleret was born Sept 13, 1912, in Boyne City, the daughter of A. and Alice (Nelson) Hott She graduated from Boyne City High School in 1929 and attended Ferris State College. She married Lewis E. Juilleret in 1936 in Charlevoix. The couple resided Charlevoix. They were co-owners of Juilleret's Restaurant in Harbor Springs prior to moving to Charlevoix permanently in 1951 when they purchased Juilleret's Restaurant in Charlevoix. They operated the Charlevoix restaurant until 1970. Mr. Juilleret preceded her in death on June 18,1976. Mrs. Juilleret had resided in the Les Cheneaux area since 1990. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Charlevoix. She attended the First Presbyterian Church in Hessel and was very active in senior citizens activities in the Charlevoix and Les Cheneaux areas. Survivors include one son, David F. Juilleret and his wife Eileen of Charlevoix; one daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Nancy) Foster of Hessel; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ivan Hott of Flint and Arden Hott of Port Charlotte, Fla.; four stepsisters, Bessie Johnson ofPort Charlotte, Fla., Christy Somcrs of Elsie, Mich., Winnie Sura to of Owosso, and Eleanor. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Charlevoix Area Hospital, First Congregational Church of Charlevoix, or First Presbyterian Church of Hessel. Envelopes for memorial contributions are available at the Winchester Funeral Home in Charlevoix where friends may call 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 8. ________________________________________________________________ L. Juilleret Rites Thursday CHARLEVOIX —Funeral services for Lewis E. Juilleret, 71, who died Tuesday at his home here, will be held at the Winchester Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Raymond Giffin of the First Congregational church will officiate. Interment will be in Brookslde cemetery. Born in Harbor Springs July 11, 1904, Mr. Julileret was graduated from the Harbor Springs high school and attended Ferris State College and Michigan State University. He was associated with his grandfather and father in the restaurant business until coming here in 1946 to open the Coffee Cup Restaurant. He operated the business until his retirement. He was married to the former Helen E. Hott at Charlevoix in 1936. He was an ardent hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the First Congregational church, the Charlevoix Historical Society and the Charlevoix Senior Citizens, Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Lewis E. III of Kansas City, Mo., and David F. of Charlevoix; two daughters, Mrs. Joyce Ridge of Ypsilanti and Mrs. Jerry (Nancy) Foster of Charleston, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a brother, Joseph of Harbor Springs and a sister, Mrs. Martha Cole, of Kansas City, Mo. The family suggests that anyone wishing to honor Mr. Juilleret's memory contribute in his name to the First Congregational church Memorial Fund.
