OBITUARY 
MILO L.KANE

Funeral services for Milo L Kane, 81, of Charlevoix who died Nov. 28 at Grandvue
Medical Care Facility, were held Dec. 1 at the Winchester Funeral Home. The Rev.
James Lugibihl of the Bible Baptist Church officiated. Interment was in
Brookside Cemetery. Born in Charlevoix April 23,1902, Mr. Kane was married to
the former Emma Wakefield March 23, 1929. They always lived in the Hayes
Township-Charlevoix area. Mrs. Kane preceded him in death in 1957. In June 1958
be was married to the former Clara Hamilton Reed. He was a crane operator and
was employed at Hodgkiss & Douma for many years, retiring in 1956. He was a
member of the International Union of Operating Engneers, Local No. 324, Round
Lake Lodge No. 293, I.O.O.F. and the Maple Grove Grange.He is survived by his
wife, Clara, of Pinellas, Fla.; two sons, Herbert P. and Sam A., both of
Charlevoix; four daughters, Mrs. Frank (Thurl) Case of Sandusky, Mrs. Belma
Webster and Mrs. Helen Shaw, both of East Jordan, and Mrs. Charlotte Bachtelder
of Flint; 18 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a stepson, Chalmer Reed of
Pinellas, Fla; a stepdaughter (Donna) Donaldson of Laurel, Md., and two
step-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the East Jordan Ambulance Fund.
