OBITUARY
Charlevoix Courier

Services for George Knowles, 74, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Emmanuel
Episcopal Church. Rev. Father John Kirkman will officiate and interment will be
in Brookside Cemetery, in Charlevoix. He died Tuesday evening at the Emmet
County Medical Care Facility, in Harbor Springs.

Mr. Knowles was born in Ionia on December 14, 1900. He attended Ionia schools.

In I960 he married the former Clara Hosler in Charlevoix where the couple made
their home until moving to Petoskey in the early 1960's.

Mr. Knowles served as a cook in restaurants for several years. He was a member
of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church.

Survivors Include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. William (Jarene) Fox, of
Vermontvllle, Mich. one step-daughter, Mrs, Raymond (Lucinda) Ward, of Muskegon
and 19 grandchildren.

The body is at the Stone Funeral Home where friends may call beginning this
evening (Thursday).
