OBITUARY - 1970
R. Meyer

Funeral services for Richard Meyer, 78, who died Monday March 30, at Charlevoix
Hospital after a long illness, were held at the Winchester Funeral Home at 10:30
a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Lawrence Tenhopen officiated. Burial was in Brookside
Cemetery.

Born in Essen, Germany, May 18, 1891, Mr. Meyer came to West Chicago with his
parents as an infant. He was a cement contractor in West Chicago until retiring
and moving here in 1956.

Surviving are his wife, the former Mrs. Hilda (Hyers) Nettleton whom he married
in 1965; a daughter, Mrs. Ronald L. (Dorothy) Wetter of Tecumseh; one
grandchild, a brother, William F. Meyer and one sister, Mrs. Clarence Boak, both
of Charlevoix.
