Moore 1909-1931 Stanley M. Moore is the son of Marian H. Markham and Judson K. Moore. He was murdered September 06, 1931 in Holyoke, Phillips, Colorado September 10, 1931 Wild West Crime Career Gets Boys Jailed as Killers Denver, Colorado, September 09, 1931 Two youths who came from adjoining Illinois towns to become robbers in the West were held here today, one for the slaying of a policeman and the other for the death of a hitchhiker he had first befriended. One, Albert Carlson, confessed slayer of Patrolman Willianm Keating in a robbery here a week ago, is awaiting trial. He is from Granite City, Illinois. Police said the other, John Markham of Collinsville, Illinois, just nine miles away, has confessed he shot and killed Stanley Moore, Michigan School of Mines student, after he had given the youth a ride in his car. Dec. 11, 1931 - Holyoke, Col, John Markham, Granite City, Illinois youth tonight was found guilty of the first degree murder of Stanley M. Moore, former Michigan School of Mines student. He was given a life sentence.
