MRS. ANNIS OLDHAM IS DEAD AT EIGHTY-SIX

Rsident Of Charlevoix For More Than Fifty Years

Mrs. Annie M. Oldham. 86, resident of Charlevoix County for more than 50 years,
died at the Charlevoix Hospital, late Sunday afternoon, following several years
of ill health. She had been a patient at the hospital for three and a half years.

Annis M. Pickering was born in New York State on September 19, 1856. In 1876 she
married John T. Oldham at Bracebridge, Ont., Canada, and ten years later they
came to Michigan to make their home at Barnard in Marion Township. In 1905 they
moved to Charlevoix where Mr. Oldham died September, 1926.

Surviving are four sons, John H., of Detroit, George of Hibbing, Minn., William,
of Kent City, and Lacey W„ of Charlevoix; two daughters, Mrs. Anna Carpenter, of
Boyne City, and Mrs. Janie E. Smith, of Charlevoix; thirteen grandchildren and
nine greatgrandchildren. A son, Horatio, died in 1917.

Funeral services were held at the See Funeral Home at 2 o'clock Wednesday
afternoon with Rev. W. H. Wood, pastor of'the Church of God, officiating.
Interment in Brookside Cemetery.
