Saunby (1891-1916) Two Daughters were born to this marriage: Freda (1913-2002) and Ruby (1915-1916) Amos O'Neil married Elinor Gravelin (1901-1993) One daughter was born to this marriage: Edith (191-2007) Amos O'Neil died November 22, 1953 in Charlevoix, MI Additional Comments: ____________________________________________ OBITUARY Services Held For Amos G. O'Neil, Lifelong Resident Amos G. O'Neil, 64, who had operated a gravel pit and trucking business here for many years, died early Sunday at the Charlevoix Hospital where he had been a patient for three weeks. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Pontius Chapel with Rev. George L. Majors officiating. Burial was in Brookside cemetery. Bom in Charlevoix county March 26, 1889, Mr. O'Neil had spent his entire life in this community. He had operated a gravel business here for many years and more recently had been in the trucking business. He is survived by his wife, the former Elinor Gravelin, whom he married in 1918, two daughters, Mrs. Glenn Pemberton and Mrs. Kenneth Balch, both of Charlevoix; three grandsons and a sister, Mrs. Jane Morris of Flint. ________________________________________________ OBITUARY Elinor O'Neil Elinor Z. O'Neil, 91 of Charlevoix, died Sept 21, 1993, at Bortz Health Care of Petoskey. A memorial service was held Thursday, Sept. 23, at the Winchester Funeral Home in Charlevoix. The Rev. Bruce E. Hamilton of the Community Church of God in Charlevoix will officiate. Interment will be in Brookside Cemetery, Charlevoix. She was born Sept. 24, 1901, in Charlevoix, the daughter of Lewis and Rachel (Welch) Gravelin. She was a lifelong resident of Charlevoix. She worked as a nurse at Charlevoix Hospital and Little Traverse Hospital. She was a member of the Charlevoix Rebekah Lodge, She married Amos O'Neil and he preceded her in death in 1953. Survivors include two daughters. Freda Pemberton and Edith Balch and her husband Kenneth, all of Charlevoix; three grandsons; six great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Charlevoix Area Hospital. There will he no visitation at the funeral home.
