Ouderkirk OBITUARY Nina E. Ouderkirk Funeral services for Mrs. Nina E. Ouderkirk, 80, of Charlevoix were held at the Assembly of God Church Monday, Jan. 19. The Rev. Cecil Drost and the Rev. Lowell Anderson officiated. Interment was in Brookside Cemetery. Mrs. Ouderkirk died Friday, Jan. 16, at the Grandvue Medical Care Facility. Born in Phelps in Marion Township, the former Nina E. Drost was married to Howard Ouderkirk at Petoskey in 1924. They made their home in Charlevoix. She was employed at the Monarch Canning factory in Ellsworth for a many years and later as a cook at the summer homes of the L.E. Block, R.E. Olds and Nathan Commings families. She was a member of of the Assembly of God church. Surviving are a son, Robert L. Ouderkirk of Ironton; twin 18 daughters, Donna J. Luft of Traverse City and Doris J. Foster of Orlando, Fla; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and three brothers, Cecil of Charlevoix and Louis and Willard of Charlevoix and Ocala, Fla. The family suggests memorials to the Assembly of God Church. Envelopes for this purpose are available at the Winchester Funeral Home which was in charge of arrangements.
