The funeral of Mrs. Elijah Peters was held Saturday afternoon from Christ Episcopal church with Rev. Edward S. Doan, rector, in charge. Burial was in Brookside cemetery. At the church service Charles Hamlin and Frank Poole sang two appropriate selections, assisted by Mrs. Ray O’Brien at the organ. Mrs. Peters was born in New London, Ontario, October 18, 1857. In 1881 she came with her parents to Charlevoix, and here married Mr. Peters, now deceased. She was a faithful member of Christ Episcopal church. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Gulnare Pappin, and six nieces: Mrs. John Berry, Lansing; Mrs. H. E. Weed and Mrs. E. W. Wicht, Detroit; Mrs. Neil Bennett, Mt. Clemens; Mrs. J. P. Logan and Mrs. Edna Biddleton, Edmonton, Alberta, and one nephew, Rome Papin, Grand Rapids.
