DEATH TAKES FORMER CHARLEVOIX RESIDENT

Mrs. Margaret Reed Died Saturday In Hammond, Indiana

Mrs. Margaret Reed, widow of Frank Reed, a former Charlevoix

resident, died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joe Richardson in
Hammond, Ind. The body was brought here Wednesday. Funeral services will be held
at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon from the See Funeral Home, with Rev. Leigh H.
Hagle officiating.

Margaret Ross was born in Southhampton, Canada, in 1863. With her parents, Alex
M. and Mary Ross, she came to Marion township in 1868. She married Frank Reed in
1892. He died in November, 1916. Mrs. Reed had resided in Hammond with her
daughter for the past 17 years.

Surviving are the daughter, Mrs. Richardson; a granddaughter, Margaret
Richardson; sister, Mrs. W. H. Cooper of this city; two brothers, Hiram Ross,
Kalamazoo, and George Ross, Battle Creek.
