ROBINSON Funeral services for Mrs. Norma M. Robinson, 81, who died Feb. 9 at the Charlevoix Area Hospital, were held Saturday at the Winchester Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles Hastie, of the First Congregational Church officiated. Interment was in Brookside Cemetery. An Eastern Star service was conducted at the Winchester Funeral Home Friday evening. The former Norma M. Ward was bom in Boyne City Feb, 3, 1902, and lived in various southern Michigan communities before going to Detroit where she was married to Elmer F. Robinson Jan. 29,1923. In 1961 they moved to Suttons Bay and in 1973 they came to Charlevoix to make their home. She was a life member of the Victoria Chapter No. 290 of Bedford and attended the First Congregational Church. She is survived by her husband and one son, Philip N. Robinson of Helsinki, Finland. ____________________________________________________________ OBITUARY ELMER FRANK ROBINSON, 92 Elmer Frank Robinson, 92, of Charlevoix, died Oct. 14, 1991, at Bortz Health Care of Petoskey. Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, at the Winchester Funeral Home in Charlevoix. The Rev. Philip G. Schairbaum of the First Congregational Church of Charlevoix will officiate. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery. Mr. Robinson was born June 23, 1899, in Detroit, the son of David and Lavinia (Niedermiller) Robinson. He was raised in Detroit and attended Northwestern High School in Detroit. On Jan. 29, 1923, he married the former Norma M. Ward of Boyne City in Detroit. She died on Feb. 9, 1983. Mr. and Mrs. Robinson were active in Masonic Lodges and in Orders of the Eastern Star. He was a member of Ionic Lodge No. 474 F. and A.M. in Detroit anhd the Charlevoix Masonic Lodge No. 282 F. And A.M. Mrs. Robinson was active in the Order of the Eastern Star Victorian Chapter No. 290 in Redford. Mr. Robinson was a member of the First Congregational Church of Charlevoix. He was a tool and die maker. He worked for Continental in Detroit and at Hoover in Detroit as a tool and die maker for the World War II effort. He retired in 1962 and moved toCharlevoix in 1973. Survivors include on son, Philip Noel Robinson and his wife Aila of Charlevoix; two nephews and two nieces, David F. of Farmington, Edgar A. of West Bloomfield, Edith LaCroix of Eaton Rapids and Agnes McConnell of Davison. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth; a sister, Lillian A. Stein; and two brothers, David and Charles (Pete). The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Masonic Foundation Juvenile Diabetes program, c/o Grand Lodge F. and A.M., 233 E. Fulton, Grand Rapids, Mich. 49503.
