Both are buried in Brookside Cemetery, Charlevoix.



LIFE-LONG RESIDENT DIED DECEMBER 25TH
Funeral Services Were Conducted Saturday for Mrs. John Shaffer

Funeral services were conducted Saturday aftrnoon from the Glenn See funeral
home for Mrs. John Shaffer, life-long resident, who died December 25, following
an illness of two years.  Rev. G. R. Parker officiated and interment was at
Brookside cemetery.

Mary Hantz was born November 28, 1869, in this city and had resided here her
entire life.  She married John Shaffer, who preceded her in death 10 years ago.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. L. Clements, of  Lansing; three sisters, Mrs.
Lottie Coon and Mrs. Kate Allard, this city, and Mrs. Etta Quick, of Grand Rapids.
