OBITUARY
Former Resident Dies in Petoskey

Mrs. Sylvia Stinson, 49, former resident who had lived in Petoskey for the past
ten years, died Thursday at Lockwood General Hospital in Petoskey after a long
illness.

Funeral services were held at the See Funeral Home Sunday with the Rev. L. L.
Lewis officiating. Burial was in Brookside cemetery.

Born in Hayes township March 9, 1902, the former Sylvia Baker was married to
Edward Stinson March 12, 1920. She was a practical nurse and had been employed
here and in Petoskey. She was a member of the Baptist church.

Surviving are seven children, T/Sgt. Edward stationed at an airbase in Florida,
Cpl. Richard of Fort Custer, Pfc. Jack of Camp McCoy, Wis., Mrs. Delbert Clark
of Harbor Springs Mrs. Larry Woodward, Eugene and Walter of Grand Rapids; six
grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. William Wagley of this city; four sisters, Mrs.
Hugh Hathaway of Alanson Mrs. Walter Mumimrt of Brutus, Mrs. Henry Erber of
Boyne City and Mrs. Douglas Coblentz of Ironton; five brothers, William of
Adrian, Warren of Midland, Harry of Longview, Wash., Claude of Kegomic and Sims
of Charlevoix.
