Sutton Held Here Thursday Afternoon After a very serious sickness of about a month, the death of Rockcliff M. Sutton occurred Monday at his residence on Ferry avenue. Mr. Sutton was born August 22, 1882, at Swartz Creek, Genesee county. Michigan. He came to northern Michigan at the age of five years. After residing many years at Mancelona, he moved with his family to Charlevoix. He had been in the employ of the Pere Marquette Railway Company for nineteen years. Surviving are his widow and nine children; three grand children and a sister, Mrs. Edna Brownell of Detroit. Funeral services were conducted this afternoon (Thursday) by Rev. W. W. Hurd. Burial was at Brookside cemetery. ___________________________________________ ROCKLIFF M. SUTTON DIES HERE MONDAY After a very serious sickness of about a month, the death of Rockliff M. Sutton occurred last Monday, at his residence on Ferry Ave. He was born in Swartz Creek, Genesee Co., Michigan, Aug. 29, 1882. He came to northern Michigan at the age of five. After living many years at Mancelona, he came to Charlevoix six years ago. He was in the employ of the Pere Marquette railroad for nineteen years. He leaves a wife, nine children, three grandchildren; also one sister, Mrs. Edna Brownell, of Detroit. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. W. W. Hurd, Thursday afternoon, and burial in Brookside Cemetery. _________________________________ To Hold Funeral Rites Friday for Mrs. C. E. Henning (Mrs. Carrie E. Henning, 73, resident of Charlevoix county since 1925, died Tuesday at the Grandvue hospital where she had been a patient six weeks. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Winchester Funeral Home with the Rev. James Lugifoihl officiating. Burial will be in Brookside cemetery. The former Carrie Henderson was born in Newaygo county March 8, 1885. She was married to R. M. Sutton sr. in Newaygo. They resided there and at Rapid City until coming to Charlevoix in 1925. Mr. Sutton died in 1932. In 1945 she was married to Will Henning at Bellaire. They resided near Central Lake. Mr. Henning preceded her in death in 1953. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Homer Hill of Fremont, Mrs. Michael Saganek of Detroit and Mrs. Harry Howard of East Jordan; six sons, R. M. Charlevoix, Harry S. and Har-ley of Detroit, Robert Orin and Burton of Walled Lake; 37 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Arthur, Palmer and Earl Henderson of Flint and four sisters, Mrs. Josephine Gib-bard of Central Lake, Mrs. Alma Loveland of Detroit, Mrs. Deliah Shetron of New York State and Mrs. Gertrude Allen of Croswell.
