Katerina Burdik was born Apr. 15, 1887 in Czechoslovakia
Katerina (Katherine) Svoboda died Feb. 14, 1948 in Charlevoix County, Michigan


Katerina (Katherine/Katie) Burdik married Joseph (Joe) Baletka on 20 June 1909
at Bell, Texas.  Joseph Baletka died November 24, 1920 at Charlevoix Hospital,
Charlevoix Township.  

Katerina (Katherine/Katie) Baletka married Charles Svoboda.
Katerina and Charles Svoboda had two children: Martha born in Czechoslovakia and
Charles, Jr. born in Illinois.

OBITUARY
Mrs. Charles Svaboda Rites Are Tuesday

Mrs. Katherine Svaboda, 60, wife of Charles Svaboda, Eveline township farmer,
died Saturday evening at her farm home. She had been in failing health for some
time.

Born in Czechoslovakia April 15, 1887, she came to this country as a young
woman. She was married to Joseph Balitka in Texas where they lived before coming
to Michigan. He died in 1921. She was later married to Mr. Svaboda and they
lived in Chicago until coming to Eveline township in 1931.

Besides her husband she is survived by a son, Charles, Jr., and a daughter,
Martha, both at home and two brothers in Czechoslovakia.

Funeral services were held at the See Funeral Home at 2 p.m., Tuesday with the
Rev. W. D. Wood officiating. Burial was in the Brookside cemetery.
