Thomas Berent Thomasen
June 12, 1915 - June 29, 1936 

NOTE: The State of Michigan Death Certificate states he was born December 6,
1915 and not the date of his tombstone, June 12. 

Thomas Berent Thomasen was born in Brooklyn, New York the son of Martin Thomasen
and Louise Kristiansen.
His parents are buried in Grand Lawn Cemetery, Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan.

YOUTH DIED MONDAY AT LOCAL HOSPITAL

Thomas Thomasen, 20, Succumbed After Illness of 11 Weeks

Funeral services were conducted at the See funeral chapel at 2 o'clock Tuesday
afternoon by Rev. G. R. Parker, for Thomas Thomasen, 20, who died at 3 o'clock
Monday afternoon at Charlevoix Hospital. Burial was at Brookside cemetery.

Thomasen, born in Brooklyn, N. Y., and raised in Norway, died 11 weeks following
an operation for ruptured appendix. He was stricken upon his arrival for
employment during the summer on the J. P. Wilson schooner Malabar.

The youth is survived by his father.
