James was born March 6, 1864 in Canada, the son of George Tumath and Catherine
Ferguson.
James married Lottie Williams on November 23, 1905 at Ironton, MI
James died November 6, 1931 in Charlevoix,

JAMES TUMATH DEAD AFTER LONG ILLNESS

Succumbed Friday Morning at Home on Mason Street—Funeral Sunday

Charlevoix county lost a life-long resident Friday in the death of Jas. Tumath,
who succumbed at 5 o'clock that morning at his home on Mason street following an
illness of several years.

Born in Canada, March 6, 1864, Mr. Tumath came with his parents to Ironton when
a child. He resided there until late in life, moving to Boyne City, thence to
Hermansville, and later to Charlevoix, where he had made his home for about
seven years.

Mr. Tumath was married at Iron-ton in 1905 to Miss Lottie Williams, who survives
him in addition to two daughters, Mrs. Kathryn Nebis of Shepard, and Eleanor of
Lansing,  also two brothers, William Tumath  of this city, and Hugh Tumath of 
Plains, Montana.

Funeral services were held Sunday  afternoon from the residence on Mason street,
Rev. W. W. Hurd of the  Methodist church officiating, assisted by Rev. Frederick
Sass. Interment was at Brookside cemetery.
