Mrs. W. H. Wagley Dies Following A Long Illness

Mrs. William H. Wagley, 71, former Hayes township resident, died late Monday at
her home at 309 Mason st. She had been in failing health for several months.

Funeral services will be held at the Pontius Chapel at 2 p.m. Friday with the
Rev. W. N. Carr officiating. Burial will be in Brookside cemetery.

Born in Hayes township Jan. 16, 1883, the former Myrtle Scott resided on a farm
in the township until moving to her present home eight years ago. In 1929 she
was married to Mr. Wagley.

Besides her husband she is survived by five sons, Sims Baker of Charlevoix,
Claude Baker of Harbor Springs, Harry Baker of Longview, Wash., Warren Baker of
Omaha, Neb. and William Baker of Dexter; four daughter, Mrs. Douglas Coblentz of
Ironton, Mrs. Hugh Hathaway of Alanson, Mrs. Walter Mummert of Brutus and Mrs.
Henry Erber of Boyne City; 30 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; four
brothers, George Scott of Detroit, Lee Scott of Eastport, Pete and Walter Scott
of Charlevoix; and three sisters, Mrs. Sabin King of Chicago and Mrs. Charles
Hyers and Mrs. Orson Cook of Charlevoix and a step-son, Vere Wagley of Battle
Creek.
