WILLIAM H. WAGLEY

Funeral for William H. Wagley. 91, was from the Winchester Funeral Home Sept. 11
with interment in Brookside Cemetery, the Rev. Leona Winegarden of the Methodist
Church officiating.

Mr. Wagley's home was in Battle Creek, although he spent his summers in the
Charlevolx-Petoskey area. He died at Lockwood-MacDonald Hospital in Petoskey
Sept. 9 after an illness of nine days.

He was born in Cross Village April 5, 1874, and married Anna Gregory there in
1901. She died in 1904 and he remained in the Cross Village-Harbor Springs area
until the early 1920's when he moved to Charlevoix.

He married Myrtle Baker in 1926 and was widowed for the second time in 1954.
Following his wife's death, he moved to Battle Creek to live with a son, Vere,
who survives him.

A farmer and lumberman all his life, Mr. Wagley also is survived by five
stepdaughters: Mrs. Ethel Weldon of Detroit, Mrs. Hazel Hathaway and Mrs. Walter
Mummert of Alanson, Mrs. Juanita Erber of Boyne City and Mrs. Douglas Coblentz
of East Jordan. Five stepsons also survive. They are William Baker of Sheridan,
Mich., Warren Baker of Omaha, Nebr., Harry Baker of Longview, Wash., Sims Baker
of Charlevoix and Claude Baker of Flint.

Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.
