Weaver 1869-1936 Charlevoix Courier BELOVED WOMAN TAKEN BY DEATH ON TUESDAY Mrs. George W. Weaver Succumbed Following Brief Illness Charlevoix lost another beloved and highly respected woman in the death, Tuesday afternoon, of Mrs. George W. Weaver. Mrs. Weaver sank into a coma Sunday and never rallied. She was in her usual good health the previous day. Florence Hyland was born in England on January 23, 1869, and came to this country with her parents when an infant. She was united in marriage to George W. Weaver at Reed City. They had resided here 42 years. Surviving besides the husband are three children: Mrs. Winnie Finucan, at home; Mrs. Margery Gaffney, of Lincoln, Neb., and Dr. Franklin Weaver, of Farmington; also a brother, Joseph Hyland, of Flint. Mrs. Weaver was prominent in local religious and fraternal circles. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Congregational church. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the See funeral home, Rev. G. R. Parker officiating. Interment will be at Brookside cemetery. GR Press 6/11/1936 MRS. GEORGE W. WEAVER PASSES AT CHARLEVOIX Charlevoix Mrs. George W. Weaver, 67, resident of this city the last 42 years, died as the result of a stroke suffered last Sunday, from which she did not regain consciousness. She had taken an active part in social and church work, having been a member of the Congregational church and the Eastern Star. Survivors are the husband, Capt. George W. Weaver, former postmaster; a son, Dr. Franklin Weaver of Farmington; two daughters, Mrs. George Finucan of Charlevoix and Mrs. Margery Gaffney of Lincoin, Neb., and a brother, Joseph Hyland of Flint. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Saturday, with burial in Brookside cemetery.
