OBITUARY
BRAYTON WIGHTMAN WAS BURIED MONDAY

Hayes Township Farmer Died Friday at Petoskey

Funeral services were conducted from the home Monday 
afternoon for Brayton Wightman, well known Hayes 
township resident, who died Friday at Lockwood hospital, 
Petoskey, from cancer.

Rev. Edward S. Doan officiated at the services and burial 
was at Brookside cemetery.

Deceased was born March 17, 1857, in Syracuse, N. Y. 
In 1879 he went to Kankakee, Ill., where he was later 
married to Miss Ella Malloy. Three children were born 
to this union, viz: Mrs. Sadie Keough of Chicago, 
Sterritt E.‘Wightman of Bentonville, Ark., and Fred Wightman, 
deceased. Mrs. Wightman died in 1898.

On July 4. 1901. he was married to Miss Ross Domin of Chicago. 
In October of the same year they came to Charlevoix county, 
settling on a farm in Hayes township, where he resided until four 
months ago when he entered the hospital.

Surviving besides the widow and two children are six grandchildren 
and one great-grandchild, also one brother, Eaton Wightman of 
Cutler, Calif.

Relatives attending the funeral were Mrs. Sadie Keough, 
Miss Grace Keough, Charles Frank and William Keough. 
Joe F. Domin, Miss Theresa Wirtel, Mrs. Andrew Wirtel and 
Miss Mallie Martin, all of Chicago.
