Wilbur Oct. 11, 1858 Oct. 13, 1932 Roselle Gertrude Wrisley was born at Glastonbury, Hartford County, Connecticut. Roselle Gertrude "Rose" Wrisley married Oscar E. Wilbur at Grand Rapids on On December 31, 1883. Rose died Oct. 13, 1932 at Charlevoix, Charlevoix County, Michigan. OBITUARY Courtesy Charlevoix Public Library Obituaries BELOVED LOCAL WOMAN DIED LAST THURSDAY Funeral for Mrs. O. E. Wilbur Held Monday Afternoon An illness of nine weeks, resulting from a stroke of paralysis August 10th, terminated in the death at 2 o'clock last Thursday afternoon of Mrs. 0. E. Wilbur, beloved and respected Charlevoix woman. Roselle Gertrude Wrisley was born in Glastonbury, Conn., October 11, 1858, the daughter of Albert and Sophia Hills Wrisley. With her family she moved to Northport in 1874. On December 31, 1883, she was married to Oscar E. Wilbur at Grand Rapids. They resided in Northport until June, 1891, when they moved to Charlevoix, where they have since made their home. Surviving are the husband and two children, Calla E. Cline and Albert A. Wilbur; two grandchildren, Helen Rose and George Oscar Cline; also a brother, Charles I. Wrisley. Although bed-ridden for nine weeks, Mrs. Wilbur was her congenial self until the last. Her life was one of love and kindness and her influence has helped many. Funeral services were conducted at Christ Episcopal church, of which she had been a member forty years, Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Edward S. Doan of Petoskey, officiated. Music was furnished by Mrs. Ray O'Brien, and two of Mrs. Wilbur's favorite hymns, "O Mother Dear Jerusalem" and "Abide With Me," were beautifully sung by Chas. Hamlin and Frank Poole. Those from out-of-town attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Cline, Miss Helen Rose Cline, George 0. Cline and Albert A. Wilbur, Chicago; Miss May Cornell, Grand Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Wrisley, Coleman; Mr. and Mrs. Charles I. Wrisley, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Wrisley, Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Wrisley, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Dame, Mrs. Henry Scott, Miss Emma Wilson, Miss Fanny Steele, Northport; Capt and Mrs. George Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Eli Weston, Traverse City.
