Elizabeth Williams
1844-1938

Elizabeth Whitney was born June 24, 1844 on Mackinac Island, Michigan, the
daughter of Walter Whitney.

Elizabeth married a Mr. Van Riper at St. James.  He drowned while engaged in
rescuing sailors from a sinking ship.  Elizabeth was appointed to succeed him as
lighthouse keeper.

Elizabeth then married Daniel Williams on September 10, 1875.

Elizabeth Williams died January 24, 1938 in Charlevoix, Charlevoix County, Michigan.
