OBITUARY

FUNERAL OF LOCAL YOUTH HELD MONDAY

John Williams Died Friday at Ann Arbor - Result of Injuries

Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Baptist
church for John Williams, 23, who died Friday morning at University hospital,
Ann Arbor, from a spinal injury received in a fall several weeks ago in California.

Mr. Williams, born at East Jordan, August 2, 1909, was practically a life-long
resident of this city. He was a graduate of Charlevoix high school, class of
1928, and was active in basketball and football.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Albert V. Edwards, this city, and Miss Susie
Williams of Detroit, also one brother, Joe Williams of this city.

Rev. W. H. Rauch had charge of the services and interment was at Brookside
cemetery.
