Williams 1842-1918 Co. 1 2nd Ohio Cavalry John H. Williams was born March 10, 1842 at St. Johns, New Brunswick, Maine, the son of John J. Williams and Mary Applebee. John died June 12, 1918, at age 75 years, 08 months, 08 days. He enlisted in Co. I, 2nd Regiment, Ohio cavalry volunteers on August 13, 1861 to serve three years. He lost his left arm at the battle of Antietiam and was given an honorable disc.harge January 27, 1863. John H. Williams married Mrs. Delilah (Wright)Pentler born abt. 1844 in New York, on May 5, 1867 at Montcalm, Michigan One son, Roswell (Rossie) Williams, born abt. 1869 John married Mrs. Anna Mudge Campbell on August 8, 1895, the daughter of Rosewell Mudge and Margaret May, at Charlevoix, Michigan. They divorced March 17, 1906 - the charge cruelty. John H. Williams married Mrs Lelila Tyler April 24, 1906 at Charlevoix, Michigan. She is the daughter of James Wright.
