Funeral services were held Thursday at the Watson Funeral Home in East Jordan. Burial was in the Brookside cemetery here. Born in Eveline township Aug. 14, 1874, Mr. Williams was married to the former Lottie Dixon in 1898 at Phelps. They resided in the area until 1912 when they went to western Canada to make their home. They returned in 1924 and lived in Detroit where Mr. Willams was with the plant protection division of the Chevrolet company until his retirement in 1945. He returned to Ironton at that time and lived there until moving to East Jordan in 1954. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Glenn and Raymond of Ironton; three daughters, Mrs. Rena McKenzie of Detroit, Mrs. Joseph Howe and Mrs. Jack Mc-Dermott of Ironton and two sisters, Mrs. Lottie Tumath of Ironton and Mrs. Sam Straw of Charlevoix. _________________________________________________________________ OBITUARY - Charlotte (Lottie) Dixon Williams EAST JORDAN - Private funeral services for Mrs. Walter Williams, 86, will be held at the Watson Funeral Home at 7 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Marcus Krake will officiate. Burial will be in Brookside cemetery. Mrs. Williams died Saturday at the Grandvue Medical Care where she had been a patient for 15 months Born In Marion township January 5, 1883, the former Charlotte Dtxon was married to Mr. Williams in 1898. They always made their home here and at Ironton except for a few years In Detroit and at St. Petersburg, Fla. in recent years. Mr. Williams preceded her in death August 2, 1960. She was a member of the East Jordan United Missionary church. Surviving are two sons. H. Ray and Glen of [ronton; three daughters, Mrs. Rena McKenzie and Mrs. Joseph (Edna )Howe of Tarpon Springs, Fla and Mrs. Jack (Yvonne) McDermott of St. Petersburg; 28 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and three great-great-grand children.
