The Oswego [NY] Daily Times November 9, 1896
Benton Harbor, Mich., Nov. 8.-No word has come yet from the schooners Petrel, 
Lena, Nelson and Una, which formed part of a fleet of six vessels which sailed 
from Ludington last Wesdnesday for South Haven and this port. It is believed 
by harbormen that these four boats are lost. The Petrel was a two-master, 
commanded by her owner, Captain Nelson of Cheboygan. He and his two brothers 
constituted the entire crew.
