Smith on Saturday. Mrs. Smith was formerly Miss Mabel Wood. Mr. and Mrs. Smith are living with Mrs. Smith's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rueben Wood at present. Judge Lew Berry arrived home Tuesday morning from Grand Rapids where he was called on Friday by the death of his sister, Mrs. John Camp of Burmingham, Ala., whose remains were brought to her parents home at Grand Rapids for burial. Mrs. Camp had visited Judge and Mrs. Berry here a couple of times and wll be remembered by a number of friends. Justice of the Peace, William F. Pew has rented the little store building on south Main street owned by the Zorn's and recently occupied by the Dumaw second hand store and has fitted up offices and will make that his official home. He will undoubtedly take on some side lines of business that will keep him engaged there most of the time. He is not in a position as yet to announce any changes but that will come as soon as his license to do so comes back from the state. Mr. and Mrs. Harold DeGowin have returned hom from their honeymoon trip and will soon go to living at Mackinaw City where they have a home prepared for them. Mr. and Mrs. John Bailey who have been operating a hotel in Florida the past winter returned to Toopinabee a week or so ago and are now getting the Hotel Topinabee in shape for the prospective big season's business. Tom and Joe Zimorski drove up th is week in a new Paige brougham for a short visit with their parents and the old home town folks. The boys are both in the drug business in the prison city and have been located there for some time and doing splendidly. We are grieved to report the death of Mrs. Onus Lowe, who died Monday afternoon from Dropsy. Mrs. Wm. Galbraith was with her mother at the time of her death. Mrs. Lowe has been a patient sufferer for many years. She is survived by her husband, MR. Onus Lowe, and her daughter Mrs. M-- William Galbraith besides other relatives. The funeral was held from the home Tuesday afternoon.
