The Oswego [NY] Daily Times November 20, 1894
Bayfield, Ont., Nov. 19.-On the beach near here to-day, was found a glass 
bottle containing a paper on which was written: "We are on a rock at Cheboygan 
reef and sinking with all hands. Water five feet in the hold. A. A. Cartier." 
The wrecked vessel is supposed to have been the Charles A. Eddy.
