Jackson Citizen Patriot, July 28, 1898
Lillie Doner, the 11-year-old girl burned so badly by kerosene that her brother 
was playing with Monday evening at Cheboygan, died Wednesday evening from her 
burns. Her grandfather is suffering greatly from the burns received while trying 
to rescue her.
