Cheboygan Daily Tribune 1988
Hector E. Poirier, 77, of North Street Cheboygan died at his home on Friday 
following an apparent heart attack.
He was born on May 17, 1910 in Cheboygan, the son of Alfred and Josephine 
Poirier.
He served in the Army in World War II. He was employed at the Cheboygan 
Manufacturing Co. for 20 years until he retired in 1972.
His wife, Rose, preceded him in death. He is survived by his children Marjorie 
Thibeault, Walter Poirier and Mrs Dale (Cheryl) Reed: step-children David 
Passeno of Clawson, Mich., Mrs Delores Pennell of Cheboygan; Rose Marie Ketner 
of Paris, Ill.;and sisters Anna Tallman of Hudson Falls, N.Y. and Bernadette 
Ryan of Detroit. He also leaves three grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren 
and four step-greatgrandchildren.
Cremation took place.Arrangements were by the Christian Funeral Home. Those 
wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to remember the American Lung 
Association or Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
