TALLMAN Cemetery is located in Inverness Township, Cheboygan County Michigan 
on Richardson Road about one mile north of Riggsville Road. A short distance 
before reaching the cemetery, Richardson Road turns into a sandy, hilly, 
seasonal road cut through a hill.  At the top of the first hill, on the right 
side, a split rail fence and a wooden cross can be seen marking the cemetery.  
The barewood cross, very weathered, has the word TALLMAN etched on it.  Four 
posts mark the small cemetery and the only markers seen May 2012 were 7 white 
crosses in one corner of this family cemetery. 

There are no tombstones or records, only information gathered from relatives. 
The following is from Sharon Tallman Russell and Dortha Cooper Roberts (1981).

Henry Tallman arrived in the United States from Canada about 1872.  He came to 
Cheboygan Michigan with sons, daughters and grandchildren who were farmers and 
lumberman.  By 1900 there was a large settlement of Tallmans in Inverness 
Township.
