    JAMES E. HOLCOMB FAMILY MONUMENT

This is the tallest monument in Silver Lake Cemetery.  Markers of individual 
family members are within the section.
James E. Holcomb was a Democrat and member of the state senate, 27th district, 
1891-1892.
Information from his death certificate follows: Born 17 Jul 1831 Johnstown N.Y.
Occupation Real Estate and Lumber. Married, parent of 5, 4 living at the time 
of his death. Died 4 Sept 1901 Wolverine, Cheboygan County MI. Cause of death, 
accidentally killed by cars, hemorrhage. Family signature on death 
certificate, B.J. Holcomb, Detroit Michigan.
