Allen, 84, of Clare died Thursday, March 3, 1988, at the Clare Nursing Home. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday at the Arthur Center Church of God, located north of Clare, with the Rev. Charles Hilliard officiating. Burial will be at the Arthur Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home in Clare after 7 p.m. today. Mrs. Allen was born June 26, 1903, in Sheridan Township to James W. and Inez (Gerow) Teale. She married Ernest Allen on Sept. 4, 1924, in Clare. He preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 1960. She was a lifelong resident of the Clare area and a member of the Arthur Center Church of God, the Farm Bureau, and the WCSC. She is survived by two sons, Max of Clare and Russell of Gladwin; three daughters, Naomi Spicer and Laurel Hildebrandt, both of Clare, and Lelah May Dwyer of St. Louis; three sisters, Olive Allen of Coleman, Beulah Armentrout and Dorothy Teale, both of Clare; 25 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth and Norman; two brothers, George and Ralph Teale; and two sisters, Mary Teale and Eula Fetters.
