Nial W. Abbott, 67, passed away at his home in Hatton Township on Friday,
May 19, 1967, following a lingering illness.  Mr. Abbott was born on
September 6, 1899 in Grant Township, the son of George and Almeda
Abbott.  He was united in marriage with Winifred Richardson on April 3, 
1920.
     He is survived by his wife, Winifred; two daughters Mrs. Ruth
Tessman and Mrs. Alice Eaton, both of Harrison; two sons, Lyle of
Harrison, and Nial Jr., of Clare; one brother George, of Clare; 13
grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services were held on Sunday, May 2l, 1967 at 2:00 pm from
the Congregational Church in Harrison.  Officiating were Rev. Norris
Minton and Rev. Duane McNeil.  Interment was in the Maple Grove
Cemetery, Harrison.  Arrangements were by Coker's Harrison Chapel.
