The submitter has given permission to the MIGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. _____________________________________________________________________ Winifred Abbott, 93, of Harrison, passed away Saturday, February 18, 1995 at the North Woods Nursing Center in Farwell. Winifred was born on February 23, 1901 in Angola, Indiana, the daughter of Edima and Alice E. (Enbody) Richardson. Mrs. Abbott had resided in Clare County since she was a young child. She was united in marriage to Nial W. Abbott on April 3, 1920. He preceded her in death in May, 1967. Winifred was a member of the First Baptist Church of Harrison. Surviving are three children, a daughter Mrs. Alice Eaton and husband Charles of Harrison, two sons, Nial Abbott and wife Betty of Harrison, and Lyle Abbott and wife Sherry of Columbia, Pennsylvania. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and seventeen great-great-grandchildren, two sisters, Wanda Pfannes and husband Richard of Harrison and Wylo White of Chesaning. One daughter, Ruth Tessman preceded her in death as did two grandchildren, her parents, five brothers and three sisters. Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 22, 1995, at 12:00 noon from the First Baptist Church, Harrison with Pastor Ken Koske and Pastor Tim Spisbergen officiating. Interment was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Harrison, Michigan. Arrangements were by Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison.
