Delano R. "Dick" Allen, 60 of Lake George , passed away Tuesday, July
7,1998, at Mid-Michigan Regional Medical Center, Clare, Michigan.  Dick
was born June 4, 1938, in South-Whitley, Indiana, the son of Linden and
Beatrice (Salyer) Allen.
     Mr. Allen had resided in Clare County since 1995, moving from Allen
Park.  He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1959 util 1963.  Dick was
a member of the American Legion Post 404, of Harrison, the Clare County
40 et 8, Voiture 767, and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge
2235, also of Harrison.
     Surviving are his wife Mary of Allen Park, one son, James Allen and
wife Tina of Lincoln Park; a grandson, David Allen of Lincoln Park, one
sister Betty Hartman and husband Norbert of Avilla, Indiana plus other
relatives and friends.
     Funeral services were held Friday July 10, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. from
Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison, with Pastor Brian Rahn officiating. 
Interment was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Harrison.  Military honors were
conducted by officers and members of American Legion Post 404, Harrison,
Michigan.
