Ruth was born on June 3, 1933 in Lake, the daughter of Arthur and Beatrice (Smith) Smith. Ruth was a teller for the Farwell State Savings Bank before retiring. She belonged to the Gold Leaf Rebekah Lodge of Farwell, Lake Eagles Auxiliary of Lake, and was a life member of the Marion VFW Auxiliary. Ruth is survived by one daughter, Ann Marie and David Haworth of Harrison; grandchildren Amanda Lake, Elizabeth Blackland, Chris Wilson and Karen Wilson; great grandchildren Kara and Michael Lake; step son Scott and Linda Aumiller and children Duncan, Chyanne Rose, and Jasmine; two sisters Eunice and Chester Harwood of Cadillac and Kathryn (Kitty) Tharp of Farwell; niece Dawn Johnson of Florida; nephews Art and Mark Tharp of Farwell; and Paul Harwood of Cadillac; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral Services were held on Wednesday December 27, 2000 from the Coker Funeral Home of Farwell, with burial in the Garfield Townshp Cemetery.
