Obituary from the Clare County Review, March 16, 200l Allen Lee Rawson, 78, of Gilmore Township, died on Monday evening at his home. Allen was born on March l, 1923 in Isabella County the son of Joseph and Anna (Oman) Rawson. Allen was united in marriage to Alice Hoschar on August ll, 1946 in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. Allen was a trustee for the Township of Gilmore. He also was a former member of the Farwell School Board and he loved to travel. Allen is survived by his wife Alice; children: Joy and Hugh Riley of Remus, Richard Rawson, Linda Rawson, Debra Wiggins and fiance Ed Haggart, Christine and Bruce Henry, all of Farwell, and Shelley and Fred Huntoon of Grand Rapids; sister Imogene Rawon of Midland; sisters in law Bernice and Gene Vincent of Mt. Pleasant and Betty Rawson of Farwell; grandchildren: Kelley and Kathleen Riley, Ted Riley, Josh and Haley Henry, Allison, Angie and Dylan Wiggins; four great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Allen is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Donald and Kenneth. Visitation for Allen was held on Thursday evening from 5-9 pm and will also be held on Friday from l0 am-2 pm from the Coker Funeral Home of Farwell. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 pm with C. Hiram Gates officiating and burial in the Gilmore Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given in Allen's name to the following: American Cancer Society, Hospice of Michigan, and the Renucci Hospitality House. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
