Andrew (Andy) Raymond Gomolak, Sr., age 82, born December 8, 1919, died on December 22, 200l. Survived by his wife Linda of Harrison, two brothers, Normand and Luke, and one sister, Dorothy. Five children: "J.R" of Los Alamos, NM, Andrew Jr. of Dearborn, MI, Jonathan of Atlanta, GA, Andrea Blankinship of Swartz Creek, MI, Christine Maycock of Plymouth, MI, and Helenann Gabler, of Dearborn Hgts, MI. Three stepchildren: Pamela Groh of Morehead City, NC, Edward Stout of Coral, MI and Victor Stout of Trufant, MI, plus 22 grandchildren. Predeceased are his parents and one sister. He served in WWII in the US Army as a Major and Chaplain. He was an honorary life member of Harrison American Legion Post 404. He was a member of Harrison Sons of the American Legion Squadron 404. He was a paid up for life member of Roscommon County Voiture 692 and of the 40 and 8, the VFW Post 1136 of Wyandotte, MI and AmVets Post 110 of Cadillac, MI. He was retired from and a life member of the Operating Engineers Local 324 of Michigan and he was a Masonic Shriner of Oklahoma. A living memorial was given to Andy on December 8th at the American Legion, Post 404 in Harrison. There will be no funeral and additional memorial services are not planned at this time. Interment will be at St. Hedgwicks in Dearborn, MI. jic
