Bradley were shocked at the news of his sudden death at 8:00 a.m. Friday, July 31st, of apoplexy. Mr. Bradley, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bradley, was born in Waterford, Ontario, January 26, 1864. He came to Saginaw, Michigan, when a small boy and a few years later moved to Clare County, where he has since made his home. He was married to Mable Virtue in 1903. Surviving him are his widow and two sons, Harold V. and Donald W., and one grandchild, of Clare. He also leaves three sisters, Mrs. Allen Bickford, and Mrs. Frank Killmer, of San Bernadino, California, and Mrs. Richard Price, of Saginaw. Mr. Bradley was a early pioneer of Grant township. He helped to chop the road that passed the farm which he still owned. He, with his parents, carved a home in the wilderness and endured the many hardships such as forest fires, etc. He was a strong man and despite the many misfortunes of those days won himself a home. Helping at logging bees and barn raisings, he was ever ready to help a neighbor. Besides the relatives he leaves a host of friends. Those who attended the funeral from a distance were his sister, Mrs. Richard Price and husband, Melvin Price, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Price. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Hall, Bernell Price, Doris and Sheldon Price, all of Saginaw. A large number of friends attended the funeral, which was held at the home on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock, with Rev. Albert Dawe the officiating minister. Interment was made at the Cherry Grove cemetery with Doherty and Sons in charge.
