Lester (Pat) Beavers was born in West Hope, Ohio, on July 8, 1906, and died on June 29, 1965, at his residence on Oak Street here. He moved to Harrison in 1914 and made his home here ever since. He was married to the former Laura Eaton, who survives him, in Clare, on July 7, 1925. Also surviving his untimely loss are a daughter, Mrs. Marvin Nash, of Gladwin; two sons Lester M. at home, and James of Sanford. One son, Clifford, was killed during World War II. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, two brothers, Arlo, of Homer, and Hobart, of Farwell, and many nieces and nephews. Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death. Lester was a faithful member of the Clare County Road Commission for over thirty years, serving as a foreman at the time of his death. Funeral services were held at the United Brethern Church, here, on July 2nd, with the Rev. Gerald Brady, and Rev. D. Wolfe officiating. Interment was made in the Maple Grove Cemetery, with arrangements in charge of the Stephenson Funeral Home.
