Gloria R. Whiteherse-Baker, age 79, of Clare, passed away June 9, 1999 in Clare. Gloria was born the daughter of Lester and Mildred (Woodcock) Bair on November 13, 1928 in Midland. She attended school in Midland before moving to Saginaw with her parents. She attended school in Saginaw, and graduated from the school of Cosmetology. She had owned and operated her own Cosmetology bsiness for 30 years. She married Hugh Whiteherse in 1949 in Midland, together they had three sons, and he predeceased her in 1965. She then married William J. Baker in 1968, and he predeceased her in 1989. Gloria is survived by a son Hugh (Beverly) Whiteherse of Daltona, Fla., 2 sisters: Carolyn (Dick) Leachman of Farwell and Emmna Lee (John) Kaiser of Houghton Lake,; 6 grandchildren, Sarah and Jessica of Florida and Jason, Nicholas, Adam, Eric of Bay City, many neices and nephews. Gloria was predeceased by 2 sons, Preston and Raymond Whiteherse Services took place Friday, June 11,, at 11:00 a.m. at the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home. Entombment took place in the Oakwood Mausoleum in Saginaw. Memorials may be made to the Hospice or to the Mid Michigan Medical Center of Clare Hospital Volunteers.
