The submitter has given permission to the MIGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. _____________________________________________________________________ Clare County Cleaver Elvin Emmet Budd, 95, of Harrison, passed away Friday, February 5, 1999, at Tendercare Nursing Home, Clare, Michigah. Elvin was born May 18, 1903 in Clare County's Greenwood Township, the son of Wllie and Minnie (Hosler) Budd. Mr. Budd had resided in the Harrison area most of his life. He was united in marriage to Doris Woods, October 16, 1922, in Mt. Pleasant. Mrs. Budd preceded him in death on April 16, 1986. Elvin farmed for many years in Greenwood Township and was a former member of Farm Bureau. Surviving are two daughters, Lois Howard of Engleqwood, Florida and Pamela Kerley of Harrison, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one brother, Merian Budd of Fort clinton, Ohio, plus other realatives and friends. Mr. Budd was also preceded in death by his parents, a son, Billie W. Budd in 1968, a daughter, Betty Jean Magnus in 1985 and two brothers, Averill and Kenneth Budd. Cremation has taken place. Interment will be in the Hillcrest (Greenwood Township) Cemetery, Harrison, Michigan. Arrangements were by Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison, Michigan.
